I really wonder how this design started … was it hand drawn on a piece of napkin or a tiny notepad or immediately created and designed in illustrator or photoshop? i can only imagine if it were done in a post tool, I would have a headache manipulating the path tool to figure out where lines could go. I dig the contrast and how the strokes and lines flow. it seems like a well balanced design. It may not be readable at first but the design calls it to be read. the yellow on black really helps it pop. i love the presentation of the piece on the desaturated or grayish wood panel. i wonder if it would receive the same attention if it were on a different background. great work on the typographic treatment, by this fellow san franciscan. I would like to try my hand at typography some time.
